WALLA WALLA, Wash. – Whitworth dropped a 9-0 decision at 21^st-ranked Whitman on Saturday afternoon.

The Pirates fell to 3-14 overall and 3-4 in the Northwest Conference while the Blues improved to 13-7, 8-0.

Ben Bethards and Kincaid Norris played the closest match of the day at #2 doubles.  The Pirate pair fell 8-6 to Chase Friedman and Luke Targett.

Zach Hewlin topped Jake Bethards 6-2, 6-0 at #1 singles.

Whitworth will conclude the 2018 season on Sunday when the Pirates host Pacific Lutheran at 11:00 am at the Scotford Tennis Center.
