Tournament Info: The 2026 Northwest Conference men's tennis tournament will be hosted by Whitman and consists of the top four finishing teams in the regular season conference standings. The tournament champion will earn the league's automatic bid to the NCAA DIII tournament.

Top-seeded Whitman and No. 4 seed George Fox will compete in the first semifinal match on Friday at 10:00 am. No. 2 seed Whitworth and No. 3 seed Lewis & Clark will battle at 2:00 pm. The winner of each semifinal will play in the tournament championship match on Saturday at 10:00 am.

The Opponent: Lewis & Clark finished the regular season with a 9-10 overall record and 9-5 NWC mark. Last season, the River Otters were defeated 4-0 by George Fox in the NWC tournament semifinals. They are led by No. 1 singles player Kaden Sigurdsson, who has a 7-6 NWC record this season. Kai Wills and Noah Sutin have combined for a 7-6 NWC record on the No. 1 doubles court. The Pirates split the season series with L&C, winning the first match 5-2 and falling 4-3 in the second.

The Other Side: Whitman claimed back-to-back NWC regular season titles and the right to host the 2026 NWC tournament with an unbeaten 14-0 conference record. The Blues won the tournament last season after defeating George Fox 4-1 in the finals and went on to win an NCAA tournament match over Ohio Northern. Alexander Stage leads Whitman with a 12-0 NWC record in the No. 1 singles position. Niklas Jensen joins Stage on the No. 1 doubles court. The Blues have beaten semifinal opponent GFU by a combined score of 13-1 over two matches this season.

George Fox finished the regular season with a 9-9 overall record and 8-6 record against conference opponents. Zach Moore and Keita Shoji headline the Bruin lineup in the top two singles spots with Aiden Cruz joining Moore on the top doubles court. GFU was swept by both Whitman and Whitworth this season and split its season series with Lewis & Clark.

The Coach: Daniel Redfern enters his third season as head coach of the Whitworth men's tennis program in 2025-26. He holds a 23-32 overall record and a 20-15 Northwest Conference mark. Redfern was a two-year standout player for the Pirates, earning first team All-Northwest Conference honors in 2011 and 2012 after transferring to Whitworth from Skagit Valley College.
