SAN DIEGO, Calif. – San Diego Christian College, ranked 15th in the latest NAIA men's tennis poll, defeated visiting Whitworth 8-1 on Thursday afternoon.
The Pirates dropped to 2-7 while the Hawks improved to 8-6.
Drew Adams earned Whitworth's only point of the match, defeating Maksym Zasadnyy 6-4, 7-5 at #4 singles. Adams is now 4-5 in singles matches this season.
Blake Miller and Caleb Hughes played the closest doubles match of the day, falling 9-8 to Tom Gibson and Adam De Romas at #3.
Whitworth will return to Northwest Conference action on Saturday, April 4th when the Pirates host both Lewis & Clark College and Linfield College.
