SPOKANE, Wash. – Seven Whitworth student-athletes have earned Academic All-District honors for 2026 on the College Sports Communicators 2025-26 Division III At-Large team.

Six Pirate women and one man were included.  A student-athlete must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher be a starter or key reserve on his or her team while competing in at least 75% of the contests.  The Academic All-District at-large list is comprised of athletes from sports not recognized with their own team.

All four Pirate lacrosse players return to the list from last season.  Witte is now a three-time honoree.  She started all 17 games and finished with 31 goals and a team-high 28 assists for a career-best 59 points.  Whitman totaled 26 goals and 15 assists for 41 points.  Bennett had 19 goals and 11 assists (30 points).  Baker anchored the Whitworth defense, starting all 17 matches.

Durkin is a three-time Academic All-District selection who played in all 11 tournaments this season and led the men's golf team in scoring average (73.23).  Likewise, Fergin played in each of the women's tournaments in 2025-26 and led her squad in scoring average (80.11).  Maki joined Fergin at every event and was just behind her in scoring average (80.94).
