SPOKANE, Wash. – The Whitworth lacrosse team hits the road for a pair of games that could go a long way to determining which schools will make the 2026 Northwest Conference tournament.  The Pirates will play at Lewis & Clark on Friday at 7:00 pm.  The Bucs travel to Willamette on Sunday at 1:00 pm.

Check the Whitworth lacrosse schedule for live links to this week's games.

The Pirates: Whitworth (6-7 overall, 2-2 NWC) split a pair of games at home last week.

The Bucs never got untracked in an 18-7 loss to Whitman last Wednesday, falling behind 5-1 after the first quarter.  The Blues also outscored the Pirates 5-1 in the third period, thanks in part to a 31-18 lead in shots in the game.  Campbell Vincent scored four of Whitworth's goals.  Megan Whitman had a goal and an assist to go along with five draw controls and three ground balls.

Whitworth bounced back to win 18-4 against short-handed Linfield on Sunday.  The Pirates led 10-1 at halftime and spent most of the second half with a running clock.  Whitworth had a 38-11 advantage in shots, including a 22-6 edge in shots on goal.  The Bucs also won 20 of the 26 draw controls.  Vincent totaled eight points with four goals and four assists.  Sierra Witte scored a season-high four goals to go with two assists and 10 draw controls.  Megan Whitman finished with two goals and four assists, along with three caused turnovers and three ground balls.

The Opponents:  Lewis & Clark is 8-4 overall and 3-0 in the NWC heading into a game on Wednesday night vs. Linfield.  The River Otters defeated Pacific Lutheran and Puget Sound on the road last weekend.  L&C leads the league in goals against average (7.78) while scoring 14.5 goals per contest (second in the NWC).  First-year A Ala Cross has 41 goals and 36 assists for a total of 77 points this season.  She ranks second in the NWC in both assists and total points and fourth in goals.  Junior A Aviana Gonzales adds 36 goals and 25 assists.  L&C defeated Whitworth 20-16 in Spokane last season.

Willamette is 4-8 overall and 2-2 in the NWC, but those two conference losses have come to L&C (12-11 on April 1) and George Fox last weekend (8-7 in OT).  The Bearcats average 10.5 goals per game (5th in the NWC) and give up 11.49 goals per game (6th in the conference).  First-year M Priya Mistry has 31 goals and nine assists this spring, while senior A Claire Kisielnicki has 25 goals and five assists.  Whitworth edged Willamette 11-10 on March 8th in Spokane, the Pirates' first-ever win over the Bearcats.

Statistically-speaking:  Whitworth is averaging 12.0 goals per game (fourth in the NWC).  The Pirates have allowed 12.0 goals per game, which ranks seventh in the conference.

Scoring Machine:  Campbell Vincent, a junior attacker, is already the most prolific scorer in Whitworth lacrosse history.  Vincent holds single game records for goals (8), assists (5) and points (10).  She carries single-season records for goals (65 in 2025) and points (83 in 2025).  And through 45 career games, she is the Pirates' career leader in goals (174), points (215), shots (293) and shots on-goal (242).  She currently leads the Pirates, and ranks tied for first in the NWC, in goals (53) and goals per game (4.08).  She is fourth in the league in total points (70) and in points per game (5.38).

Watch on FloCollege: Like the rest of the Northwest Conference, Whitworth's home athletic events will be steamed through FloCollege in 2025-26.  Fans can sign up to watch Pirate sports on the FloCollege portal.  Registration is $116 for an annual subscription or $20 per month.  Those who register with a .edu email address get a significant discount.

The Coach: Noelle Brouillard is in her eighth season as head coach at Whitworth, the only seasons the Pirates have been a varsity program.  Since the restart following COVID, Whitworth has shown dramatic improvement each year.  The Bucs went 0-10 in 2021.  They won five times in 2022, went 6-12 in 2023 and broke through with a 12-6 record in 2024, including an 8-4 mark in the NWC.  Last season the Pirates finished 7-7 overall and 4-4 in the NWC, tied for fourth place.

Brouillard came to Whitworth from the University of Scranton, where she was the top women's lacrosse assistant coach for two seasons.  Scranton had a 22-13 record over the two years Brouillard served as assistant coach.  The Royals advanced to the Landmark Conference tournament championship game in 2017 and finished with an 11-6 record.  She played for four seasons at Allegheny College (Pa.), where she was a two-time team captain in 2012 and 2013.

Looking ahead: Whitworth will finish out the regular season with home games against Puget Sound (Friday, April 24) and Pacific Lutheran (Sunday, April 26 at Gonzaga Prep).
