INDIANAPOLIS – All three Whitworth University swimmers competed during the opening day of preliminaries at the 2026 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships on Wednesday morning at the Indianapolis Natatorium.
Nathaniel Van Liew raced in the men's 50-yard freestyle and finished 27th in the preliminaries with a time of 20.30. His entry time was 20.03.
Molly Konop competed in the women's 50 freestyle and improved on her entry time, going 25.21 to take 68th place. She entered the meet with a time of 25.55.
Megan Bonikowsky posted a time of 2:09.79 to finish 55th in the preliminaries of the women's 200-yard individual medley. Her entry time was 2:07.67.
All three Pirates will return to action on Friday, racing in their respective 100-yard breaststrokes.
