Three throwers set for NCAA DIII Indoor T&F

SPOKANE, Wash. – Three Whitworth University student-athletes will compete in the women's shot put at the 2026 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships in Birmingham, Alabama this weekend.

The meet takes place March 13th and 14th at the Crossplex Indoor facility.

Madison Carr, Amblessed Okemgbo and Kylie Loveless will all compete in the women's shot put, which takes place on Saturday at 2:00 pm (EDT) / 11:00 am (PDT).  Follow the link above for live results or check the track and field schedule at Whitworthpirates.com for a link to live video.

Carr has the third-best qualifying mark in the event.  Her school-record toss of 14.40 meters (47'-3") was set at the 2026 Inland Northwest Invitational at The Podium on January 31st.  Carr is making her first appearance at the NCAA Division III Indoor T&F Championships.

Okemgbo, a three-time NCAA Division III All-American in track and field, is returning to the indoor championships as the sixth qualifier in the event.  She posted a mark of 14.24 meters (46'-8.75") at the Spokane Indoor Challenge at The Podium on January 16th.  She finished fifth in the same event last season after arriving at the meet as the ninth qualifier.

Kylie Loveless has the ninth-best entry mark in the shot put.  She was the last Pirate qualifier, after posting a distance of 13.99 meters (45'-10.75") at the Riverfront Invitational at The Podium on Feb. 5th.
