BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Three Pirate entrants finished as three All-Americans for the Whitworth University women's team at the 2026 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday at the Crossplex.

Amblessed Okemgbo finished as the national runner-up in the women's shot put, while Kylie Loveless took fourth and Madison Carr fifth in the same event.

Okemgbo is now a four-time NCAA All-American in either indoor or outdoor events.  Okemgbo heaved the shot 14.07 meters (46'-2") on her third throw to get into the finals with the second-best mark.  She bettered that toss with a distance of 14.37 meters (47'-1.75") to secure second place.  That mark is only .03 off the school record of 14.40 meters that Carr set in January.

Loveless entered the finals in sixth position after her opening throw of 13.58 meters (44'-6.75").  On her fifth throw she got off a mark of 13.88 meters (45'-6.5") to move up to fourth place, where she finished.

Carr went into the final three throws in fourth place after her toss of 13.76 meters (45'-1.75") on her third attempt.  That mark stood up for fifth place in the results.

Southern Maine's Zoe Barnes won the event with a distance of 14.84 meters (48'-8.25"), which she did on her final throw.

The Pirates' trio each earned first team All-America status and combined to score 17 points.  That total landed Whitworth in a tie for 11th place in the final team standings.
