AUSTIN, Texas – The College Sports Communicators have announced that Whitworth track and field senior Eddie Vu is an NCAA Division III second team Academic All-American, according to today's press release.

Vu graduated in May as a Financial Planning major at Whitworth.  He finished with a perfect 4.0 grade point average.

Vu finished fifth in the discus at the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships, becoming an All-American for the second straight season.  He is a two-time Northwest Conference champion in the same event and he finished third at the 2026 NWC Championships in the shot put.

Vu is Whitworth's third CSC Academic All-American in 2025-26 following Ben Nyquist (basketball, third team) and Kyle Memarian (baseball, third team).  Amelia Hewson (2024) was the last Pirate track and field athlete to earn Academic All-America status (second team).
