SPOKANE, Wash. – The Whitworth women's golf team opened the 2025-26 schedule on Monday and Tuesday at the EWU Kalispel Invitational.  Even though the Pirates finished last out of 14 schools, they competed hard against their NCAA Division I opponents at the Kalispel Golf and Country Club.

Santa Clara University won the tournament with a final team score of 868.  Whitworth finished 14th with a score of 1010.  Eleven of the 12 schools in between them in the standings were NCAA Division I members.

Ashley Maki led the Bucs with a final total of 89-80-79 – 248 (+32) to finish 75th in the standings, while Stella Fergin (77th place, 91-79-79 – 249) was the only Pirate with two sub-80 scores over the three rounds.

Carolyn Rose (82-87-87 – 256) was 79th and Erin Pierce (90-85-82 – 257) was 80th.  Emory Crawley (91-94-89 – 274) was 83rd.
