HILLSBORO, Ore. – Player of the Year Kyle Memarian led ten Whitworth Pirates named to the 2025 All-Northwest Conference baseball team on Thursday afternoon by the conference office.

Memarian was joined on the first team by Caleb Gray and Dylan Huntsman.  AJ Woodward earned second team recognition, while Carson Coffield, Kevin Corder, Brock Molenda, Aidan Morrison, Quentin O'Connor and Spencer Shipman received honorable mention consideration.

The group of ten Pirate players lead Whitworth into this week's Northwest Conference tournament.

Memarian (Jr., OF) won the 2025 Northwest Conference batting title with a .421 average in 2025.  Remarkably, Memarian was batting below .300 for the first 12 games of the season and missed the Puget Sound series with an injury.  In stats from NWC games only, from which the all-conference selections are made, Memarian batted .489 with 45 hits in 92 at-bats.  Also, in conference play, Memarian had nine doubles, five home runs, two triples and 21 RBIs.  He was selected as the NWC's Position Player of the Week twice during the 2025 season.  Memarian was also strong defensively with only one error in 74 defensive chances – primarily in the outfield.

Gray (Jr., UT) was Whitworth's most versatile player in 2025, making starts at third base, first base, outfield and designated hitter throughout the season.  In NWC play, Gray hit .407 with 10 home runs, 36 RBIs and 31 runs scored.  The home run and RBI numbers were the best in the NWC in conference-only statistics.  He was also selected as the NWC's Position Player of the Week twice this season.

Huntsman (Soph, RHP) came on strong over the final month of the season to finish with a 4-2 record by winning his final three decisions.  In conference play, Huntsman was 4-1 with a team-best 3.09 ERA in eight starts.  Like his offensive counterparts, Huntsman was named the NWC's Pitcher of the Week twice in the final month of the season.

Woodward (Jr., RHP) was Whitworth's game one starter in each NWC series this season.  In NWC stats, Woodward finished 4-2 with a 3.47 ERA in eight starts.  He had 32 strikeouts in 47 innings and was selected as the conference Pitcher of the Week on March 17.

Corder (Sr., IF) started at three different infield positions throughout the season for the Pirates.  In 21 NWC games he batted .386 and scored 19 runs.

Coffield (Jr., 1B) came up big several times for the Pirates.  He batted .266 while starting all 24 NWC contests.  He had 10 home runs and drove in 32 runs in those league contests.

Molenda (Sr., C) played in 17 NWC games with 15 starts in his one year as a Pirate.  He batted .281, scored 11 runs and drove in nine.

Aidan Morrison (Gr., OF) capped an excellent Whitworth career with a .264 average in 23 NWC contests.  He had five doubles, four home runs and 19 RBIs.

Quentin O'Connor (Sr., RHP) started eight NWC games on the mound and had a 5-3 record with a 5.74 ERA.  He struck out 28 batters and issued only five walks in 47 innings-pitched.

Spencer Shipman (Sr., SS) battled through a shoulder injury that forced him to miss half of the NWC schedule.  He still claimed honorable mention honors in only 12 games with a .273 average, four home runs and 11 RBIs.

Whitworth finished the regular season 25-15 overall and took second place in the NWC standings with a 15-9 mark.
