GREENWOOD, Ind. – Whitworth University outfielder Kyle Memarian has been named to the 2026 CSC Division III baseball Academic All-America team as a third team honoree, according to the list released today by the College Sports Communicators.

Earlier this month Memarian was joined on the Academic All-District team by Kyle Disch and Caleb Gray.

Memarian (Vancouver, Wash.) has capped a spectacular Pirate baseball career with this honor.  He is a two-time Northwest Conference Player of the Year and All-Region honoree.  He batted .406 this season with 11 home runs, 16 doubles, 46 runs batted in and 71 runs scored.  He stole 21 bases in 22 attempts.  Memarian graduated this spring with a 3.67 grade point average as a business finance major.  He is Whitworth's first Academic All-American in baseball since Joel Condreay was a second team selection in 2018.

Disch and Gray were All-District selections.  A student-athlete must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher and be a starter or key reserve on his team while competing in at least 75% of the contests to qualify for the All-District honor.

Disch, a senior from Redmond, Washington, was a key contributor out of the Pirates' bullpen.  He tied for the team lead with 20 appearances and made two saves with a 2-0 record in relief.  He had a 5.28 ERA with 23 strikeouts in 29.0 innings.

Gray, a senior from Spokane Valley, earned first team All-Northwest Conference as Whitworth's starting third baseman.  He batted .310 with 10 home runs, 13 doubles, 43 RBIs and 43 runs scored.  He led the Pirates with 45 starts.

The trio led Whitworth to a 31-16 record in 2026.  The Pirates won the NWC regular season crown with a 20-4 record before claiming their second straight conference tournament championship.  Whitworth went 3-2 at the Montclair, N.J. Regional, reaching an "if necessary" championship game against eventual NCAA Div. III national finalist Endicott.
