HILLSBORO, Ore. – Three Pirates earned 2025 men's tennis All-Northwest Conference honors as announced by the conference office today. Matthew Morrison, Henry Preacher, and Ryan Ashley were each named All-Conference second team.
Morrison, a freshman, played all 19 of his matches in the No. 1 singles and doubles position for the Pirates. He finished with a 7-12 record in both singles and doubles.
Preacher, a junior, earned All-Conference recognition despite missing half of the season due to injury. In his eight singles matches, he finished with a 6-2 record in the No. 2 position, including a 5-0 mark against conference opponents. Preacher had a 4-6 doubles record, the majority of which played in the top position alongside Morrison.
Ashley, a freshman, stepped into the No. 2 singles position and No. 1 doubles position in Preacher's absence. He finished with a 9-11 singles record on the season and 10-10 record in doubles.
The trio led Whitworth to a 6-14 overall record and 6-8 NWC record, finishing fifth in the conference standings.
