SPOKANE, Wash. – 10 Whitworth soccer student-athletes were named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) NCAA Division III Academic All-District team, announced by the organization today.
On the women's side, Emma Ellerd, Lily Parker, Addison Dizard, Mac Lembcke, and Madison Carr were recognized for their work on the field in the classroom. Keegan Davis, Dominic Gusman, Christian Waarvick, Johnny Finnegan, and Reeves Oakman were honored on the men's side.
To be eligible for the award, student-athletes must have played in at least 90% of the team's competitions or started at least 66% of the team's matches while holding a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.50 or better.
Ellerd, a junior criminology major, started 14 of the 19 matches at forward this season. She scored a game-winning goal against George Fox on November 11th.
Parker is a senior elementary education major pursuing graduate studies in marriage and family therapy. She started 16 matches on the back line this season and recorded one assist.
Dizard, a psychology major and now two-time honoree, started all 19 of the Pirates' matches this season. The senior team captain scored a team-high four goals with one assist and earned third-team All-Northwest Conference recognition. Dizard was also named NWC women's soccer Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week on November 3rd.
Lembcke, a senior health science major, started 16 games at defender. She recorded one assist and helped the Bucs post a 0.89 opponent goals per game average.
Carr, a senior English major, started nine matches and played 1,089 minutes on the talented Whitworth back line.
On the men's side, Davis earns his second CSC Academic-All District honor with a perfect 4.0 GPA. The senior computer science major started 16 of the Pirates' 17 matches at midfielder.
Gusman, a senior computer science and engineering major, started all 17 contests and spearheaded the Pirate attack. He earned second team All-NWC recognition after posting a team-high nine goals and four assists. Gusman is also a two-time Academic All-District honoree.
Waarvick, a junior biochemistry major, started 16 matches and played 1,282 minutes this season.
Finnegan, a senior applied mathematics major, was an anchor for the Whitworth defense and earned second team All-NWC honors in 15 matches started this season.
Oakman, a senior theology major, started 14 games for the Pirates at defender. Waarvick, Finnegan, and Oakman were each key in leading the Bucs to an NWC-best seven shutouts.
