HILLSBORO, Ore. - Whitworth standout seniors Dominic Gusman and Johnny Finnegan each earned recognition on the 2025 All-Northwest Conference men's soccer team, which was released today by the conference office.
Both players were named second-team honorees after leading the Bucs to a 7-5-5 overall record and 7-4-5 NWC mark.
Gusman, a forward from Aiea, Hawaii, started all 17 matches and led the Pirate attack with nine goals and four assists this season. He ranked sixth in the conference with 22 points, and his nine goals were tied for fourth most in the league.
Finnegan, a defender from Spokane, started 15 games this season and led a strong Pirate back line. The Whitworth defense allowed the second least goals per game with 1.24 and earned a league-high seven shutouts. Finnegan was named NWC Men's Soccer Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week on October 6th.
