HILLSBORO, Ore. – Baylee Trejo and Yacine Bitibale earned All-Northwest Conference recognition to close an improved 2024 season for the Whitworth women's soccer team, announced today by the conference office.

Trejo was named to the All-NWC first team and Bitibale is on the second team.

The two graduates led Whitworth to a 9-5-2 conference record, a third place NWC finish, and an 11-6-2 mark overall. The Pirates' 11 wins were the most since the 2021 season.

Selections are based on statistics from just the 16 conference matches.

Trejo earned first team recognition as a midfielder after being named to the All-NWC second team last season. She started every game and played several different positions for Whitworth, solidifying important roles at both forward and midfield. Trejo is Whitworth's most versatile player and played 1,363 minutes during conference play. Her two game winning goals ranked eighth and three assists were tenth in the NWC. She was named NWC Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week on October 21st.

Bitibale was an offensive force for the Pirates in 2024 after playing three seasons at Northwest Nazarene University. She was second in the NWC in both shots (53) and shots on-goal (29), while tied for second in game-winning goals (4) during conference play. Her six goals finished fifth in the conference, and she was seventh in points (14). Bitibale led the Pirates in goals, points, shots, shots on-goal, and game-winning goals.
