McMINNVILLE, Ore. – Isaac Janzen shared medalist honors and a pair of Whitworth men's golf teams had strong showings at the Wildcat Invite on Saturday and Sunday at Michelbook Country Club.
Janzen shot 71-72 – 143 to share medalist honors with three other players over the weekend. Alex Werth (Willamette), Jack McMullin (Willamette) and Alex Knox (Whitman) all shot -1 to share the honors.
The final team scores were: Willamette A 581, Whitman 584, Whitworth 588, Linfield 602, Willamette B 618, Whitworth B 625, Puget Sound 628, Pacific (Ore.) 632, George Fox 641, Lewis & Clark 680.
Sam Pauly and Matthew Durkin tied for ninth place at +4, while Jacob Rawley tied for 11th at +5. All four played with the Pirate A team.
Aaron Storem was the top finisher for Whitworth's B team, tying for 15th place with a final tally of +7.
Whitworth will return to action at the Northwest Conference Fall Classic on Oct. 8-9 in Salem, Oregon.
