What hidden gems do you recommend on Netflix/Prime/Hulu/etc.?
Psych(Prime): Hands down my favorite TV show ever! It mixes crime solving with comedy (something we all need a little extra of right now). The two main characters play off each other so well, and each episode has a satisfying ending. And there are 8 seasons, so if you don't have any school work, it can fill a lot of free time!
What Sodexho menu item do you miss the most right now?
Cereal: I most miss the access to 6 different sugar cereals, that are perfect to smuggle out for a late night snack in the library. (Shoutout to my friends Mary and Rico, who would always play "catch the fruit loops in your mouth with me", miss you guys).
What is your family's favorite game to play together, why?
Qwirkle: It's a tile strategy game, that kinda mixes Rummikub and scrabble. I think we like it so much, because we all know we can win, if we play smart and have the luck of the draw on our side!
If you could travel back in time one month, what single piece of advice would you give yourself and why?
Zoom out, and then focus in on what's important: Many times, especially in the beginning of this huge change to distanced learning, I would get so focused on one problem or inconvenience that I wouldn't give myself enough grace or others around me. I needed to zoom out and realize that we are all facing the same problem (even though it may manifest in different ways for each person), and then focus on the important things: encouraging myself and others, because that's the best we can do right now!
How are you staying in touch with your teammates?
Zoom and Marco Polo: We have had a couple different Zoom TEAM meetings and have recently started using Marco Polo. If you don't have a Marco Polo with your team, I would highly recommend getting the app on your phone and inviting all your teammates. You can send videos about your training, and they do not disappear. We are planning on compiling them all into a fun 'quarantine training' video for y'all to watch!!!
