SPOKANE, Wash. – Eight members of the Whitworth University swimming teams have earned inclusion on the 2024-25 Academic All-District® Women's and Men's NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving teams, according to the official list released Tuesday by the College Sports Communicators.

The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Swimming Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the pool and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.  Student-athletes must be of sophomore academic standing, have a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher through the final full academic term and must be a top-eight scorer at the conference championships or have competed in over half of the team's meets.

Hailey Freeman, Paige Orlando, Makhaela Parrish and Taylor Thorne made the list from Whitworth's women's team.  Henry Brewster, Parker Dangleis, Samuel Draeger and Alex Popov represent the men's team.

There were other Pirate swimmers that met the selection criteria, but each school is allowed a maximum of four honorees per team.
