ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Whitworth University's Amblessed Okemgbo finished fifth in the shot put on Saturday at the 2025 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships, hosted by Nazareth University.

Okemgbo broke her own school record on her final throw, reaching 14.2 meters (46'-7.25").  She qualified eighth into the finals with a distance of 13.77 (45'-2.25") on her third attempt.

Okemgbo's previous school record was 13.99 meters (45'-10.75"), set earlier this season.

Okemgbo added a second All-American trophy to her case, following her place in the discus at last year's NCAA Division III Outdoor championships.
