SPOKANE, Wash – Aiden Chase and Anton Dershem tallied a shared shutout, but Whitworth couldn't find their 10^th win of the season as they tied George Fox 0-0 on Saturday in Newburg.

Whitworth (11-4-4 overall, 9-2-4 NWC) outshot the Bruins 16-8 (7-3 in shots on goal) but neither team could find the game-winner in a hotly contested match that featured three yellow cards.

Dominic Gusman and Cameron Gardner were given yellows in the 73^rd and 74^th minute, George Fox's Connor Kong was awarded his in the 69^th.

Chris Barry tallied four shots including an 89^th minute attempt, but it was denied. The Bruins (5-10-4 overall, 4-7-4 NWC) have now tied 0-0 in each of their last three matches. For Whitworth, it's only their second scoreless draw of the season (the first at Whitman on October 18).

It's the second consecutive season that Whitworth has been held scoreless in Newberg. The Pirates defeated George Fox 7-0 in the first meeting between the schools in early October.

Whitworth will be at Lewis & Clark on Sunday in their season finale, the Bruins will finish off their season at home against the Whitman Blues.
