REDLANDS, Calif. – Visiting Whitworth never got untracked and the Redlands Bulldogs rolled to a 4-0 men's soccer victory on Friday night.
The Pirates (1-1-1) suffered their first loss of the season while Redlands improved to 2-0.
Steve Acuna got the Bulldogs on the scoreboardin the 24th minute on an assist from Chad Feingold. Arian Mogharei made it 2-0 in the 38th minute, assisted by Quinn Richards.
Ethan Kovach scored an unassisted goal in the 60th minute and Jamie Dulle added a final tally in the 90th minute, assisted by Jonathan Cheung.
The Bulldogs outshot the Pirates 21-10, including a 15-5 edge in shots on goal. Bo Broyles made 11 saves for Redlands, while Seth Lawrence and Aidan McSeeny combined for five saves in the shutout.
Whitworth will look to bounce back on Sunday with a match at Pomona-Pitzer.
