Kady Forbes

Kady Forbes enters her first season as an assistant coach for the Pirate volleyball team in 2024.  Previously Forbes served as assistant volleyball coach at Western Oregon and as an assistant volleyball coach at Pacific University. She also has worked as a volunteer assistant coach at Eastern Washington University. Forbes has coached and worked with club teams in both Oregon and Washington for the last 17 years.

Forbes (then Kady Try) was a four-year starter as an outside hitter at Central Washington University. As a senior she was named first team All-Great Northwest Athletic Conference after leading the GNAC in kills per set (4.14) and in points. Her kill average was the second highest in CWU history.

Forbes is a native of Brentwood, Calif., but spent her final prep year at Mead High School in Spokane, Wash. She led the Panthers to a state title while also earning Washington State High School Player of the Year honors. She graduated from CWU in 2010 with a BS in Public Health and a Master of Education in Sports Administration from Concordia of Texas. Forbes lives in Spokane area with her husband Rob and two daughters, Olivia and Vivian.
