Alyssa Benthagen joins the Whitworth softball coaching staff in 2024 as an assistant coach with the responsibility for catchers.

Benthagen was a two-time All-GNAC standout at Central Washington University where she earned post-season recognition after leading the Wildcats in home runs, RBIs, batting and slugging average as a senior in 2023.  She was the only CWU player to start every game that season.  Over the course of her career, Benthagen hit 22 home runs and drove in 101 RBIs.
