Whitworth University

Nate Thompson enters his second year on the Whitworth coaching staff in 2021-22.  He coaches the Pirate offensive line and also serves as the team visit coordinator.

Thompson came to Whitworth from IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, where he served as the varsity offensive line coach in 2019.

Thompson is a 2019 graduate of Wheaton College (Ill.), where he was a four-year varsity player for the Thunder.  His teammates selected Thompson as Wheaton's Most Respected Player following his senior season in 2018.  Thompson was a two-time Collegiate Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Academic All-Conference honoree and he graduated from Wheaton with a 3.96 GPA in Economics and International Relations.

Prior to graduating, Thompson volunteered with the Thunder as an assistant football coach during the non-traditional (spring) season.
