Whitworth University

Doug James enters his first year on the Whitworth coaching staff in 2020-21. He will serve as an assistant defensive line coach. 

James comes from Central Washington University, where he served as a strength and conditioning graduate assistant for the past two years. While at Central, he completed a master's degree in athletic administration.

James graduated from Pacific Lutheran University in 2018 with a degree in kinesiology. He was a three year letter winner for the Lutes, and was selected as the team's defensive lineman of the year following his senior season in 2017. 

Prior to graduating, James served as a summer intern with the University of Washington's football strength and conditioning staff.
