Biography

Experience - 
2021: Derrick finished third on the team with 45 total tackles, including 27 solo stops.  He forced one fumble and recovered one fumble.
2020: Derrick played in all four games and led Whitworth with 24 tackles, including a 14-yard sack.  He also broke up a pass.
2019: Derrick appeared in six games as a backup linebacker and on special teams.  He had seven tackles and recovered a fumble.
HS: Derrick was the South Sound Conference's defensive MVP after leading Yelm to a WIAA quarterfinal appearance as a senior.  He was selected to the All-Area team by the Olympian newspaper.  Also an outstanding wrestler, Derrick was a two-time WIAA champion (182 and 195 pounds).
