INDIANAPOLIS – Whitworth University will travel to Montclair, New Jersey for the regional round of the 2026 NCAA Division III baseball tournament this weekend, according to the field announced by the association this morning.
The Pirates (28-14) earned the Northwest Conference's automatic bid by defeating Linfield University 9-7 in the NWC tournament championship game last Friday at Merkel Field. Whitworth is making its second straight NCAA Tournament appearance, third under head coach CJ Perry, and fifth overall.
The Pirates will take on host Montclair State in a first round game on Friday at 11:30 am (PDT)/2:30 pm (EDT). The Red Hawks (30-9) earned an at-large bid out of the New Jersey Athletic Conference and are hosting a regional for the first time since 2000.
The other opening contest will pit Conference of New England champion Endicott College (35-9), the regional's top-seed, against Husson University (24-16), the winners of the North Atlantic Conference.
