REDLANDS, Calif. – Whitworth women's tennis fell 7-0 to the University of Redlands in a non-conference match on Monday afternoon at Coach Jim Verdieck Tennis Center.
The Pirates fell to 7-6 on the season while the Bulldogs moved to 6-6.
Redlands claimed the doubles point with wins on the No. 1 and No. 2 doubles court. Audrey Judson and Olivia Corbett battled to secure the lone Whitworth match win of the day with a 7-6 (7-3) victory on the No. 3 court. The Whitworth duo has now won nine consecutive doubles matches.
All six singles matches went to the Bulldogs in two sets. Judson put up a fight in the No. 4 position before ultimately falling 7-6, 6-4. Hannah Wells was the only other Pirate to reach three set points.
The Whitworth women will wrap up their spring break trip to California with a match at Whittier College on Tuesday at 4 pm.
