SPARTANBURG, S.C. – London Haley finished 113th and Lily Jones took 152nd at the NCAA Division III cross country championships on Saturday morning at the Milliken Research Park.
Haley, a junior, finished the men's eight-kilometer race in 25:24.9 in his first NCAA championships. There were 291 finishers in the race.
Emmanuel Leblond of Johns Hopkins won with a time of 23:35.0. Wisconsin-LaCrosse scored 82 points to win the men's team championship by 50 points over SUNY Geneseo. Pomona-Pitzer was the top-finishing team from the west, taking eighth place with 258 points.
Jones, also a junior competing in her first national championship competition, covered the women's six-kilometer course in 23:11.8. There were 290 women's finishers.
Middlebury's Audrey Maclean won the women's race in 20:16.8. NYU scored 79 points to beat Williams (106) for the team championship. Claremont-Mudd-Scripps (133) was third and the top team from the west.
