Joe Broussard joins the Whitworth football coaching staff in the spring of 2025 as a Life Coach following more than 40 years investing in coaches, athletes and leaders through mentorship, leadership development and faith-based coaching.
A former football player at Fresno State University, Broussard earned a degree in Finance before beginning a career dedicated to helping individuals maximize their potential both on and off the field. Throughout his career, he has served in pastoral, nonprofit, executive leadership, and coaching roles, working alongside athletes, coaches, business leaders, and families.
Broussard is the founder and president of Redeem Sports, a nonprofit organization focused on developing coaches and leaders through mentorship, personal growth, and character development. His passion is helping high-capacity leaders pursue sustainable success in their faith, family, relationships, and vocation.
In his role with Whitworth Football, Coach Joe provides mentorship, leadership development, and personal coaching for student-athletes and staff. He works closely with players to help them navigate the challenges of college athletics, personal growth, and life beyond football while encouraging them to become leaders of character and influence.
Broussard and his wife, Faythe, have been married for more than 35 years and have three adult children and several grandchildren. Their son, Coach CJ Broussard, serves on the Whitworth Football staff as Cornerbacks Coach. The Broussards reside in Spokane and are active in the Whitworth community.
