Whitworth University

Jennifer Hochwalt is in her first season as the top assistant coach for the Pirates in 2026-27.  She comes to Whitworth with more than 20 years of experience as a coach in the Spokane region.

After a Division I collegiate career at the University of Wyoming, Hochwalt returned to her hometown as an Assistant Head Coach for the Spokane Area Swimming program from 2001 through 2004.  She went on to become the head coach for Eastern Washington Recreation Association in Cheney from 2004 through 2008.  She has been the head coach of the Cheney High School girls’ team since 2009 and has also served as a primary assistant for the Spokane Waves Swim Team since 2019.

Hochwalt will have primary responsibility for Whitworth’s sprinters.
