GREENSBORO, N.C. – Whitworth University's Jamie Siegler finished in 13th place in the women's 100-yard breaststroke on Friday evening at the 2019 NCAA Division III Swimming and Diving Championships.
Siegler, a sophomore, earned honorable mention All-America status with her place in the consolation final. She finished with a time of 1:04.13, after qualifying for the evening session with a time of 1:04.20 in the morning's preliminaries.
Eben Schumann came within six one-hundredths of a second of making his second consolation final of the meet. He took 17th in the preliminaries of the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 49.63 to finish as the first alternate. Schumann's time was a Whitworth career-best.
Ryan Grady finished 31st in the men's 100 breaststroke prelims with a time of 56.43.
Schumann's participation in the championships is complete. Siegler and Grady will finish up on Saturday by competing in the 200-yard breaststroke.
