Both are second team honorees in 2018. Stiles was a first team member in 2017 while Loo is on the second team for the second straight season. Players earn their position on the All-NWC men's golf team by their performances at the three NWC scoring events – the NWC Fall Classic, the NWC Spring Classic and the NWC Tournament. Loo (So., Lihue, Hawaii), who posted a scoring average of 78.3 in 2017-18, came on strong over the final four weeks of the season to earn his spot on the All-NWC team. He did not qualify to play for the Pirates in the NWC Fall Classic. But he picked up medalist honors at the NWC Spring Classic with a score of two-under par following back-to-back rounds of 71 at Hangman Valley GC. Loo finished tied for 13th place at the NWC Tournament with a score of 149 (+7).
Stiles (So., Colbert, Wash.) tied for the team lead with 11 tournament appearances and posted an average score of 76.93 in 2017-18. He finished sixth at the NWC Tournament with a score of 147 (+5) after earning runner-up at that event in 2017. He tied for 18th at the NWC Spring Classic and tied for 38th at the NWC Fall Classic. He was the medalist at the rain-shortened Whitman Men's Invitational on October 28th with a year-best round of 69.
Whitworth finished second to Pacific Lutheran in the final Northwest Conference men's golf standings. The Pirates return their entire ten-player roster, including Loo and Stiles, in 2018-19.
