Kyrstal Roberts is in her fifth season as a volunteer cross country coach. Her main coaching duties are with the female distance runners.

Krystal helped coach Madelyn Buckley to the NWC Freshman of the Year award during the 2022 cross country season and spurred on other female XC and TF runners to All-Conference honors over the last three seasons. In 2023, she helped coach Lily Jones to the NWC Newcomer of the Year for cross country.

Krystal graduated from Whitworth in 2020 with a degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Spanish. She also recently completed her Master's in Teaching and Learning through Whitworth and will begin her Principal Certification Program this Fall.

As an athlete at Whitworth, Krystal ran three years of XC and two years of track and field. She was a member of the 2017 cross country squad that took 13th overall at the NCAA Division III National Championships. She was All-Conference in both XC and track and field. Krystal also earned All-Academic honors and was chosen for the Northwest Conference All-Sportsmanship Award.

Krystal works as a middle school teacher for Spokane Public School’s Duel Language Program.
