Courtney Fairhart

Courtney Fairhart, a former Pirate track & field All-American, is in her third season as an assistant coach in 2023-2024. Courtney coaches the javelin and assists with the discus.  

Courtney coached Cody Wheeler to a conference championship in the javelin in 2023.  She also coached Cody Wheeler and Eva Millan to All-American honors in 2023.    

Courtney is USATF Level 1 and TrueSport Certified.  

Courtney competed for the Pirates from 2012 through 2016 earning 3 individual Conference Championships and helped lead Whitworth's women to a pair of Northwest Conference championships during her final two seasons.  She was a two-time NCAA Div. III All-American in the discus in 2014 and 2015 and she set a school record in that event that stood until 2019.  She was selected by the Whitworth Athletics Department as the 2016 Aaron Leetch Inspirational Athlete Award winner and graduated that spring with a B.A. in Kinesiology with a minor in Coaching.   
 
In 2020, Courtney earned an M.A. in Sport and Athletic Administration from Gonzaga and was awarded the Jean Foster Wardian Excellence Award for leadership  
 
Prior to coaching at Whitworth, Courtney was the head coach for the Morton-White Pass HS athletic combine in 2018 and was an assistant coach at Mt. Spokane HS in 2019 and 2020. She currently works full-time at Whitworth as the Manager of the University Recreation Center, within the division of Student Life where she received the Student Life Impact award in 2022.
