SALEM, Ore. – Whitworth women's tennis closed the 2026 regular season with a 7-0 sweep of Willamette University in a Northwest Conference match on Sunday morning.
The Pirates finished with a 14-6 overall record and 12-2 NWC mark, good for second place in the conference standings. The Bearcats finished at 3-14 overall and 2-12 in conference play.
Whitworth won all nine matches on the day, starting with two dominant wins to claim the doubles point. Audrey Judson and Olivia Corbett won 6-0 on the No. 3 court and Jordan Turner-Esposito joined with Paige Oliver for a 6-1 win on the No. 2 court. Clara Todd and Faith Kert closed the session with a competitive 7-6 (7-3) win to complete the doubles sweep.
Four of six singles match went the Pirates' way in two sets. Kert claimed the most dominant win of the day, defeating her opponent 6-0, 6-0 on the No. 2 court. Corbett and Kellogg each extended their singles match winning streaks to seven with two dominant wins. Judson claimed her fifth straight win (6-2, 6-0) on the No. 4 court before Oliver and Turner-Esposito closed with a pair hard-fought three set wins.
The Pirate women will head to Whitman next weekend to compete in the Northwest Conference tournament. Their first round match will be against Lewis & Clark, who they have beaten twice this season.
