SPOKANE, Wash. – The Whitworth University softball team is making weather-related adjustments to its schedule, both for this weekend and for last weekend.
The Pirates' series at Pacific (Ore.) will move back one day to try to avoid bad weather. The first doubleheader is now on Sunday, beginning at noon. The second doubleheader will be on Monday, beginning at 11:00 am.
Last weekend's series against Pacific Lutheran, postponed by unplayable conditions at Diana Marks Field, will be made up in two parts. Whitworth and PLU will play one doubleheader on Monday, March 20th at PLU, immediately after the Pirates play a four-game series at nearby University of Puget Sound. The second doubleheader will be Thursday, March 30th in Spokane, during both teams' spring break. Both doubleheaders are scheduled to start at 11:00 am.
Whitworth is 3-3 so far this season, all against non-conference opponents.
