Box Score SPOKANE, Wash. – Whitworth and visiting Willamette played to a 0-0 tie in a Northwest Conference women's soccer match on Saturday as neither team could beat the goalkeeping or the wet and windy conditions.
Whitworth is now 6-7-5 overall, 3-6-5 in the NWC. The Pirates have finished 0-0 in three of their last four matches. The visiting Bearcats are now 4-10-3, 2-8-3.
Whitworth outshot Willamette 19-10, including a 7-4 edge in shots on-goal. Tiara Pajimola led the Pirates with ten shots, four of which were on-net. Sarah Desautels had three shots for Willamette.
Whitworth goalkeeper Andrea Stump made four saves for her seventh shutout of the season. Emily Sewall made seven saves for the Bearcats.
The Pirates will play their final home game of the 2013 season on Sunday at 11:00 am when they host Lewis & Clark College.
