Title: Assistant Coach

Laci Effenberger joined the Whitworth coaching staff in 2018-19 from Northwest Nazarene University, where she spent two seasons as an assistant coach and helped the Crusaders win a GNAC title in 2017-18.  

Effenberger starred at California State East Bay for two seasons where she led Pioneers to their first-ever CCAA title, and first-ever NCAA appearance.  She holds the Cal State East Bay single season three-point record and ranks in the top five in the CCAA for assists, steals, 3-pointers, and assist-to-turnover ratio.  Effenberger was named to the All-CCAA First Team as a senior, and was named the 2016 Trajan Langdon Award winner by the State of Alaska Sports Hall of Fame.

Effenberger received her Bachelors degree in sociology from Cal State East Bay in June of 2016.

Prior to playing at CSUEB, Effenberger spent two seasons at Clackamas Community College in Oregon where she the career three-point record, as well as the NWAC tournament single game and tournament scoring records.

Effenberger is originally from Ketchikan, Alaska.
