SPOKANE, Wash. – Whitworth University will host the Northwest Conference Spring Golf Classic on Saturday and Sunday at Hangman Valley Golf Course.

The NWC Spring Classic counts as 25% of the final league standings and is one of three official conference counters during the 2018 season.

Tee times begin at 11:02 am on Saturday.  Sunday's play will begin just after 9:00 am with groups going off at the first and tenth tees.  There will be live results available throughout the tournament.  Watch the Whitworth men's and women's schedule pages for that link.

The Pirate women finished in third place in the 2017 NWC Fall Classic at Quail Valley GC in Banks, Oregon behind George Fox and Whitman.  Whitworth will have to play its best golf to move up this weekend.  George Fox comes into the tournament ranked #1 in Golfstat's Division III rankings, while Whitman is #4 in DIII.  The Pirates are 42nd

Whitworth's men finished in fourth place in the fall behind Willamette, George Fox and Pacific Lutheran.  The Pirates can create a scramble for the conference title with a strong showing at Hangman Valley.  PLU comes into the weekend ranked 23rd in Division III.  Whitworth is ranked 71st in the latest Golfstat report.
