Roach Named NWC Men's Basketball SAOW

SPOKANE, Wash. – Kyle Roach earned the honor of Northwest Conference Men's Basketball Student-Athlete of the Week for his performances during the week of Nov. 21-27. 

Roach (So., Guard) posted two 20+ point games during the Quality Inn Whit Classic last weekend including a career-high 28 on Friday in the Pirates 95-87 win against Texas Lutheran, starting off the game red hot with four three pointers in the first five minutes. He finished the contest with another career-high 11 rebounds for a double-double. Against Schreiner the following evening, Roach scored 20 and snagged seven boards in a 24-point win (87-63).

Roach led the Pirates to a pair of wins at the Quality Inn Whit Classic over the weekend. He scored a career-high 28 points on Friday in a 95-87 win over Texas Lutheran, and made it a double-double with a career-best 11 rebounds. He added 20 points and 7 boards in an 87-63 win over Schreiner on Saturday. He was very efficient, making 61% of his shots from the field (14-23), 60% of his three-pointers (9-15), and 100% of his free throws (11-11). In two games, he averaged 24 points, 9 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game.
