Rachel Aldridge was named women's tennis head coach in December of 2014 and she has led the Pirates to back-to-back Northwest Conference tournament appearances in each of her first two seasons.
She served three seasons as an assistant coach from 2012 through 2014. A four-year standout for Whitworth, she graduated in 2011. She was a four-time First Team All-Northwest Conference honoree and was voted as NWC Player of the Year during her senior season (2011). She was also selected by conference coaches as the NWC Sportswoman of the Year in 2010. She then received the NCAA West Region Arthur Ashe Sportsmanship Award from the ITA during her senior season.
Aldridge earned her M.Ed. in school counseling from Whitworth in 2014. In addition to her coaching duties at Whitworth, she has served as an adjunct professor in the Gonzaga University music department since 2011 and as an adjunct professor in the Whitworth psychology department since 2014.
