Swimmers Sweep Whitworth / Subway Student-Athlete of the Month Awards

SPOKANE, Wash. – Jamie Siegler of women's swimming and Ryan Grady of men's swimming have been selected as the Whitworth / Subway student-athletes of the month for their performances in December. 

Jamie broke the Logger Invitational meet record while winning the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:04.92.  She also finished fourth in the 200-yard breaststroke and reached the championship final in the 200-yard individual medley and 50-yard freestyle.  She was part of four relays that finished in the top four and led her team to second place in the final standings.

Ryan won the 200-yard breaststroke at the Logger Invitational with a meet-record time of 2:02.92.  He also took second place in three other events: the 400-yard I.M., 500-yard freestyle and 1,650-yard freestyle.  He was part of three winning relays as the Pirates claimed the team title at the meet.
