Leland, Loo Named Whitworth / Subway Student-Athletes of the Month

SPOKANE, Wash. – Kayla Leland of women's track and field and Keegan Loo of men's golf have been selected as the Whitworth / Subway Student-Athletes of the Month for their performances in April.

Loo (Soph. – Lihue, Hawaii)  finished in the top-10 in all three of the tournaments the Bucs competed in during the month, including earning medalist honors in the NWC Spring Classic. The sophomore also finished April with the second-best average round on the team.

Leland (Sr. – Spokane, Wash.) broke a school record, Boppell track record, and won three NWC Championships during the month of April. She opened the month by breaking the school record in the 10,000-meter run and followed it by setting a new track record in the steeplechase the next week. The senior finished April by winning NWC Championships in the 10,000 meters, 5,000 meters and 1,500 meters.
